You should take a moment to read the article in the New York Times Magazine dated April 12, 2010 entitled, The Estrogen Dilemma by Cynthia Gorney.
Since we spend more than half of our lives in perimenopause, menopause or post menopause- it is so important that more studies are underway to research the affects of hormone replacement.
I was especially excited to read about Dr. Roberta Diaz Brinton’s work at USC studying the brain and estrogen. Especially since many shmirshkies find that their mind goes to mush during PM&M. Low estrogen often makes it hard for us to concentrate, stay focused, or think clearly. It can be so disconcerting and scary. Go Dr. Brinton and all the doctors and scientists working on PM&M research! Thank you!
I am looking forward to hearing the results of the Keeps Study, The Early Versus Late Intervention Trial and the other various studies underway.
An Educated shmirshky is a healthy shmirshky!
