According to new research presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s 65th Annual Meeting, women who undergo surgery to have both of their ovaries removed (called oophorectomy) before they experience natural menopause and experience surgical menopause can show a decline in cognitive ability. The research also found that women on hormone replacement therapy showed slower decline.
Heart Disease is the #1 killer of women. The study, published in The Journal of the North American Menopause Society, revealed the risk for heart disease doubles for women who enter menopause early before the age of 46. Learn more here.
