Women who get enough vitamin D are 32 percent less likely to develop uterine fibroids than women who don’t meet their recommended daily allowance of the vitamin, according to a new study from the National Institutes of Health.

 

New research reveals menopausal women who gain weight, smoke, or drink alcohol are at an increased risk for night sweats and hot flashes. Learn how!

Women who undergo surgical menopause have a two-fold increase in symptoms of cognitive decline and dementia, according to a new study published in Brain.

There are over 100 different types of human papilloma virus (HPV): While 14 types of this virus cause cervical cancer, it turns out that some other types might actually prevent the cancer, according to research from The University of Manchester.

  1. Fascinating about Vitamin D. I keep reading more and more about the benefits of it. Also, I nearly stopped having hot flashes after I lost about 30 pounds. I didn’t realize the weight loss was a factor.
