Books on Menopause

Ellen’s own very personal (difficult) struggle through perimenopause, lead her to self-publish her first book in 2009. Her son, Jack Dolgen, assisted her in writing the book, and together they created EllenDolgen.com. Her daughter, Sarah Dolgen Shaftel, assisted with the PR effort. Sarah now has her own blog, Smilescurlsandbaby, which is an honest, true journey through pregnancy and motherhood.  Her husband, David, encouraged her and supported her mission while at the same time dealing with her often tumultuous menopausal journey.

Not long after she and Jack self-published the book, Shmirshky: think inside the box, it was picked up by HyperionVOICE, and together Jack and Ellen wrote Shmirshky: the pursuit of hormone happiness.
