Menopause News Flash:  research, news and information

I have been on weight watchers for six month – I have learned to eat more vegies and fruit– which has kept my sweet tooth at bay and trimmed down my menopausal body. Here is some more info on why not counting calories, but eating healthy works.

The 2002 report on HRT scared women half to death.  Most women stopped taking their non bioidentical hormones – cold turkey.  After 10 years and more research there is more clarity as to when and who can take HRT.  Once again, please read the entire article so that you can truly understand the latest info on HRT and make educated decisions for your individualized needs.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too and still fit into your pants!

Natural Health Sherpa provides in-depth, science-based, independent reviews of natural health therapies and remedies that have been proven to be both safe and effective and are backed by good science — multiple double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized studies. Unfortunately, there are many charlatans making bogus, unfounded claims in the natural health area, so our goal is to separate fact from fiction to pinpoint what actually works.  If you are taking black cohash for menopausal symptoms, Natural Health Sherpa recommends choosing black cohosh products carefully, since 3 out of 11 cohosh supplements do not contain any traces of this plant at all, according to the Journal of Agricultural & Food Chemistry.

Before buying herbal/dietary supplements it is best to consult our pharmacist or doctor…

After struggling with her own severe menopause symptoms and doing years of research, Ellen resolved to share what she learned from experts and her own trial and error. Her goal was to replace the confusion, embarrassment, and symptoms millions of women go through–before, during, and after menopause–with the medically sound solutions she discovered. Her passion to become a “sister” and confidant to all women fueled Ellen’s first book, Shmirshky: the pursuit of hormone happiness. As a result of the overwhelming response from her burgeoning audiences and followers’ requests for empowering information they could trust, Ellen’s weekly blog, Menopause MondaysTM, was born.
